31° Concorso Internazionale per Giovani Musicisti
‘Città di Barletta’ – on line Edition – 21 – 26  settembre 2021

Art.1- BANDO DI CONCORSO
Il 31° Concorso Internazionale per Giovani Musicisti ‘Città di Barletta’ – on line Edition è organizzato dall’Associazione Artistico Culturale “CULTURA E  MUSICA – G. CURCI “ di Barletta, in collaborazione e col Patrocinio dell’Amministrazione Comunale di Barletta, della Regione Puglia, del Ministero dei Beni Culturali – Dipartimento dello Spettacolo, allo scopo di valorizzare i giovani musicisti e di evidenziare il loro talento, arte e ispirazione, stimolando scambi culturali internazionali e promuovendo culturalmente e turisticamente il territorio.

Art.2 – PERIODO
Il Premio Internazionale Giovani Solisti (Archi – Fiati – Chitarra ) e il Premio Internazionale di Musica da Camera si svolgeranno dal 21 al 23 settembre  2021.
Il Premio Internazionale Giovani Pianisti si svolgerà dal 24 al 26 settembre 2021.
Durante queste giornate saranno trasmessi on line i video inviati con la domanda di iscrizione.
La valutazione delle opere del Premio Internazionale Composizione sarà effettuata entro il 26 settembre 2020.
Il Concorso è aperto ai musicisti di tutto il mondo.

Art. 3 – SEZIONI
Il Concorso si suddividerà in 4 Sezioni:
a) Premio Internazionale Giovani Pianisti
b) Premio Internazionale Giovani Solisti (Archi – Chitarra – Fiati)
c) Premio Internazionale Musica da Camera (Duo – dal Trio all’ Ensemble)
d) Premio Internazionale di Composizione 

Art. 4 – VIDEO

Il link video da inviare dovrà avere I seguenti requisiti:

-Si può inviare un video registrato a partire da gennaio 2021.
-Le mani e il viso devono essere visibili durante la registrazione, come anche la tastiera e i pedali.
-Non è consentito alcun taglio né unire sequenze nel video inviato.
– In caso di esecuzione di brani differenti di lunga durata è consentito registrare i brani separatamente e inviare una
playlist dei video o video diversi o unire le registrazioni video in un unico video.
-Il video può essere realizzato con videocamere, cellulari, tableT così come con sistemi professionali di registrazione.
-Il video deve essere postato su YouTube ed impostato come ‘Pubblico’ o ‘Non in elenco’ .
-Il video deve essere intitolato come segue:
Solisti:
Città di Barletta 2021 Intl. Competition – Nome e cognome, strumento, età – Nazione
Ensemble:
Città di Barletta 2021 Intl. Competition – Nomi e cognomi di tutti I componenti e relativi strumenti, età e nazionalità.
Nel campo ‘Descrizione’ inserire il compositore e il titolo dei brani eseguiti

Categoria C
per i nati negli anni 1997 – 98 – 99 – 2000 – 2001.
Programma a scelta della durata massima di 18 min.

Categoria D
per i nati negli anni 1991 – 92 – 93 – 94 – 95 – 96.
Programma a scelta della durata massima di 20 min.

Categoria E
per i nati dal 1985 al 1990.
Programma della durata massima di 25 min. 

N.B.: Nelle Categorie della Sezione di Musica da Camera (duo ed ensemble) è ammessa la partecipazione di elementi di età superiore a quella indicata, purchè la media dell’età di tutti i componenti non sia superiore a tale limite.

Art. 8- PREMIO INTERNAZIONALE DI COMPOSIZIONE
aperto a concorrenti di ogni nazionalità, senza limiti di età.
Una composizione inedita della durata massima di 10 minuti.

Ogni candidato potrà partecipare con una o più partiture, per la stessa categoria o categorie diverse, in forma anonima.

Cat. A – Strumento solista ( con o senza elettronica)
Cat. B – Da 2 a 4 esecutori (con o senza elettronica)
Cat. C – Orchestra d’Archi (senza elettronica)

Per le categorie A e B l’organico strumentale a disposizione è il seguente:
1 Chitarra
1 Flauto o Ottavino (1 esecutore)
1 Oboe
1 Pianoforte
1 Tastiera, Keyboard Sampler o Midi Keyboard
2 Violini
1 Viola
1 Violoncello
1 Contrabbasso

L’eventuale elettronica potrà essere su supporto o live e dovrà essere stereo.

I compositori dovranno inviare via mail a concorsobarletta@culturaemusica.it :

– Un primo file PDF contenente la partitura anonima e contrassegnata da un motto;
– Un secondo file PDF contenente il modulo di iscrizione compilato e firmato e la ricevuta di pagamento della tassa di partecipazione;
– Nel corpo della mail potrà essere indicato un eventuale link a una simulazione o registrazione in formato MP3 del pezzo inviato (il link dovrà rimanere attivo fino alla data di svolgimento del concorso). L’invio della registrazione o simulazione è consigliato per i pezzi senza elettronica, obbligatorio per quelli con elettronica.

 Art. 9 – NORME COMUNI
I Concorrenti possono iscriversi a una Categoria superiore alla loro età e partecipare a più Sezioni del Concorso, ma non a più Categorie all’interno della stessa Sezione (eccetto che per la Composizione).
Il minutaggio massimo stabilito per ciascuna Categoria, mentre non obbliga i Concorrenti a raggiungerlo, deve essere rispettato nella durata della performance video.

Art. 10 – CALENDARIO

Le Audizioni si terranno secondo il seguente Calendario provvisorio:

N.B.: Il presente Calendario potrebbe essere modificato in relazione al numero delle iscrizioni.

Art.11- COMMISSIONE
La Commissione Giudicatrice sarà composta da musicisti di provata esperienza. E’ membro di diritto il Presidente dell’Associazione e/o un suo Delegato. Per tutte le norme di incompatibilità si fa riferimento alla C.M. Min.Tur. e Spett. n.2 dell’11-8-89 art.16. I Commissari esprimono il proprio voto a scrutinio segreto in centesimi; la media sarà calcolata aritmeticamente escludendo il voto più alto e il più basso. E’ facoltà del Presidente di arrotondare i punteggi. 

Art.12-PUNTEGGI
Il vincitore assoluto per ciascuna Categoria è il Concorrente che ha riportato il punteggio più alto e non inferiore a 98/100. Primi classificati sono i Concorrenti che hanno riportato un punteggio non inferiore a 95/100; secondi classificati quelli con un punteggio non inferiore a 90/100; terzi quelli con un punteggio non inferiore a 85/100; meritori con un punteggio non inferiore a 80/100; idonei con un punteggio non inferiore a 60/100. A tutti i partecipanti che otterranno almeno 60/100 sarà rilasciato un Diploma digitale. I concorrenti non potranno vantare alcuna pretesa economica per le registrazioni audio e/o video inviate al  Concorso. Tali registrazioni resteranno di proprietà esclusiva dell’Associazione Curci per qualsiasi utilizzazione. Il Primo premio assoluto è indivisibile. Su tutti i Premi saranno effettuate le ritenute di legge. 

Art.13 – PREMI

Premio Internazionale Giovani Pianisti

- A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto delle Categorie Junior – A – B: 100 Euro e diploma.
- A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto delle Categorie C – D: 200 Euro e diploma.
- Al Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria E: 250 Euro e diploma.
- Al Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria F: 350 Euro e diploma.
- Al Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria G: 500 Euro e diploma.

Premio Internazionale Giovani Solisti  Archi – Chitarra – Fiati

- A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto delle Categorie Junior – A – B: 100 Euro e diploma.
- A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto delle Categorie C – D: 200 Euro e diploma.
- Al Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria E:  350 Euro e diploma.        

 Premio Internazionale di Musica da Camera Duo – Ensemble

- A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria A – B: 150 Euro e diploma.
– A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria C: 250 Euro e diploma.
- A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria D: 300 Euro e diploma.
- A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria E:  500 Euro e diploma.

 – Ai restanti classificati primi, secondi e terzi di ogni categoria:
Diploma con classificazione e punteggio.

- Ai restanti classificati di ogni categoria di esecuzione:
Diploma di partecipazione.

- A ciascun insegnante con allievi primi classificati verrà rilasciata attestazione relativa

Premio Internazionale di Composizione

– A ciascun primo premio Assoluto delle Categorie A-B-C  200 Euro, diploma ed esecuzione del Brano nelle Stagioni Musicali dell’Ass. Cultura e Musica G. Curci e dell’Orchestra ‘Soundiff’.

La Direzione artistica si riserva, per uno o più brani vincitori:
-  di pubblicare la partitura
-  di registrare, pubblicare e distribuire digitalmente il brano a cura dell’Ass. Curci
- Ai restanti classificati di ogni categoria di composizione: Diploma con classificazione e punteggio.

Art.14 –  PREMI SPECIALI ‘Direzione Artistica’

Premio ‘Scuole Nazionali’ di 100 Euro e Diploma
-alla migliore esecuzione di un brano di un compositore della stessa nazione del partecipante

Premio ‘Bach’ di 100 Euro e Diploma
-alla migliore esecuzione di un brano di J. S. Bach

Premio ‘Virtuosità’ di 100 Euro e Diploma
-alla migliore esecuzione di un brano o di uno studio virtuosistico

Premio ‘Sonata Classica’ di 100 Euro e Diploma
-alla migliore esecuzione di una Sonata classica

Premio ‘Musica Contemporanea’ di 100 Euro e Diploma
-alla migliore esecuzione di un brano scritto dal 1960 ad oggi

Premio ‘Musica Romantica’ di 100 Euro e Diploma
-alla migliore esecuzione di un brano del periodo romantico

 Art.15 – CONCERTI PREMIO 

Sono previsti 10 Concerti-Premio, che la Direzione Artistica si riserva di assegnare ai vincitori assoluti che si saranno distinti durante il Concorso corrispondendo il solo rimborso spese, offerti da varie Associazioni e Istituzioni.

Art.16 – ALTRI PREMI SPECIALI

Premio “Claudio Ceschini”   Al miglior sassofonista del Concorso: Diploma speciale

Premio “W. A. Mozart”         Al più giovane concorrente classificato fino al terzo posto: Diploma speciale

Premio “M. Clementi”          All’insegnante col maggior numero di allievi premiati: Diploma speciale

Le Quote di Iscrizione per Duo e Ensemble si intendono complessive, qualsiasi sia il numero dei componenti i gruppi partecipanti.

Le domande di iscrizione possono essere compilate su apposito modulo predisposto dall’Organizzazione o su copia di esso.

31st Young Musician International Competition
‘Città di Barletta’ – on line Edition – September 21 –  26, 2021

Rules 
1 – ANNOUNCEMENT OF COMPETITION
The 31st Young Musician International Competition “Città di Barletta” on line Edition is organized by the “Cultura e Musica – Giuseppe Curci” Music Association and sponsored by the Barletta Town Administration, the Apulia Region and the Italian Ministry of Culture – Music Department.
The purpose of the competition is to valorize the young musicians and to present their talent, artistry and inspiration, stimulating international cultural exchange and promoting the cultural and touristy resources of the country.

2 – PERIOD

The Young Soloist International Prize and the Chamber Music International Prize will take place from 21st to 23rd September 2021.
The Young Pianist International Prize will take place from 24th to 26th September, 2021.
The evaluation of the International Composition Prize will be done on 26th September 2021.
The Competitions are open to all the musicians of the world.

3 – SECTIONS

The Competition is divided in 4 Sections:
a) Young Pianist International Prize
b) Young Soloist International Prize ( Strings – Guitar – Winds)
c) Chamber Music International Prize (Duo – Trio and Ensemble)
d) Composition International Prize

4- VIDEO RECORDING

Your video must meet the following requirements:
-You can submit a video made anytime from Jan 2021 and later.
-The hands and the face should be visible during the recording, as well as the keyboard and pedals.
-Cutting and merging multiple takes is not allowed.
-if you will play different long duration pieces, you can record the different pieces separately and send us a playlist of videos or different video links or merge all the recordings in one video.
-Videos can be made with consumer cameras, camcorders, mobile phones, tablets, as well as professional equipment and setup.
-Your video must be posted on YouTube and set to either “Public” or “Unlisted”.
-Your video must be titled in the following way:
Soloists: Città di Barletta 2021 Intl. Competition – Surname and Name, instrument, age – Country
Ensembles: Città di Barletta 2021 Intl. Competition – List of surnames, names and instruments of each group member, ages and countries.
- In the “Description” field, list of the compositions performed in your video.

N.B.: In the Chamber Music Section it’s possible to participate even for the players who are older than the age limits, if the average of the age of all the players is not over the limits.

8- COMPOSITION INTERNATIONAL PRIZE
open to all composers of any nationality, without age limits.
An unpublished composition not longer than 10 minutes.
Each participant can participate with one or more scores, for the same or different categories, in anonymous form.

Cat. A – Solo Instrument (with or without electronics)
Cat. B – From 2 to 4 performers (with or without electronics)
Cat. C – String Orchestra (without electronics)

For A and B category the available instrumentation is the following:
1 Guitar
1 Flute or Piccolo (1 performer)
1 Oboe
1 Piano
1 Keyboard, Keyboard Sampler or Midi Keyboard
2 Violins
1 Viola
1 Cello
1 Double Bass

The optional electronics can be tape or live electronics and must be stereo.

Participants will have to email to barlettacompetition@culturaemusica.it:

- A first PDF file containing the anonymous score identified only by a ‘motto';
- A second PDF file containing the filled and signed application form and the payment receipt of the entry fee;
- In the mail text it is possible to indicate a link to an MP3 file containing the simulation or recording of the composition (the link must remain active until the date of the competition).
MP3 simulation is recommended for compositions without electronics, mandatory for those with electronics.

9 – COMMON RULES

The candidates can enrol in an older Category and they can participate to more Sections in this Competition, but not to more Categories in the same Section (it is allowed only for the Composition Section).
The maximum duration established for each category does not require contestants to reach it, but the performance can’t exceed the limit.
10– COMPETITIONS SCHEDULE

The online competition will take place in accordance with this provisional Schedule.
The result will be published every day after each category.

N.B.: This Schedule can be modified connecting to the number of the enrolments.

11– JURIES

Musicians of considerable experience will make up the Juries, and the Association Curci President or a delegate.
We apply the Ministerial Law n. 2 (August 11th 1989) about the incompatible rules for the Jury.
The Jury will make a secret centesimal voting, with arithmetic mean, except highest and lowest scores.
The President can round up or down the results.

12– SCORES and VIDEOS

The Absolute Winner for each Category is the competitor who gained the highest score, but not less than 98/100.First Prizes are the competitors who gained a score not lower than 95/100; Second Prizes not lower than 90/100: Thirds not lower than 85/100; Merit Diplomas not lower than 80/100; Participation Diplomas not lower than 60/100.
The jury has the right to reserve the First Absolute Prize empty if the competitors do not meet the requirements.
All participants with a score not lower than 60/100 points will receive a digital Diploma.
Teachers/accompanists may receive diplomas on request.
Relevant institutions, individuals and organisations may request certificates.
Participants agree and authorise the Cultura e Musica G. Curci Association to publish their image, video captions, and recording for promotion and publicity without any fee request.
The Videos sent to the Competition will be exclusive property of the Curci Association for any utilization.
The First Absolute Prize is indivisible. Each prize will have the deduction at source.

The Artistic Director will decide, for one or more winners,
- to publish the score
- to record and digitally publish and spread the Composition by Curci Association

15– PRIZE CONCERTS

The Artistic Direction reserves the right to assign 10 Prize-Concerts to the first prize winners with distinction during the Competition, offered by several Music Associations and Institutions.
The winners of the Prize Concerts will receive a refund of expenses for these Concerts.

16- OTHER SPECIAL PRIZES

“Claudio Ceschini” Prize For the best Saxophonist of the Competition : Special Diploma.
“W. A. Mozart” Prize For the youngest contestant who will win not less than a 3rd prize: Special Diploma.
