Regolamento

Il 33° Concorso Internazionale per Giovani Musicisti “Città di Barletta”
si svolgerà Live a Barletta nella splendida cornice del Teatro Comunale Curci con il seguente Calendario.
Il Premio Internazionale Giovani Solisti (archi, fiati e chitarra) e il Premio Internazionale Musica da Camera si svolgeranno dal 16 al 18 maggio 2023.
Il Premio Giovani Pianisti  e il Premio Internazionale di Composizione si svolgeranno dal 19 al 21 maggio 2023. 
Durante questi anni il Concorso è divenuto uno dei più importanti appuntamenti per le varie scuole musicali di tutto il mondo.
La passata Edizione ha visto la partecipazione di circa 300 partecipanti provenienti da ben 30 nazioni.

L’edizione 2023 avrà 4 Sezioni:
– Premio Internazionale Giovani Pianisti (pianoforte solo)
– Premio Internazionale Giovani Solisti (archi, chitarra e fiati)
– Premio Internazionale di Musica da Camera (duo, dal trio all’ensemble)
– Premio Internazionale di Composizione per solista, duo, ensemble e orchestra d’archi (con o senza elettronica)

Sono previsti Premi in denaro per oltre 10.000 Euro e 10 Concerti-Premio per i vincitori.
Il termine per inviare le iscrizioni è fissato al 2 maggio 2023.

Il Concorso è aperto ai giovani musicisti di tutto il mondo e durante gli anni precedenti abbiamo scoperto fantastici talenti musicali.

Per l’Edizione 2023 sono stati accresciuti i Premi per tutte le Sezioni con l’istituzione dei Premi Speciali ‘Gabriella Cipriani’ destinato alla sezione Archi e ‘Marida Bonadies-Barletta Ricettiva’ per le Sezioni Musica da Camera e Pianoforte che si aggiungono ai Premi Speciali delle passate Edizioni, ed esecuzione, registrazione, pubblicazione e diffusione on line per le composizioni vincitrici.

Inoltre, al fine di favorire la partecipazione dei Giovani Artisti, sono state ridotte le quote di Iscrizione alle varie Sezioni.

Art.1- BANDO DI CONCORSO

Il 33° Concorso Internazionale per Giovani Musicisti ‘Città di Barletta’ – Live Edition è organizzato dall’Associazione Artistico Culturale “CULTURA E  MUSICA – G. CURCI “ di Barletta, in collaborazione e col Patrocinio dell’Amministrazione Comunale di Barletta, della Regione Puglia, del Ministero della Cultura – Dipartimento dello Spettacolo, allo scopo di valorizzare i giovani musicisti e di evidenziare il loro talento, arte e ispirazione, stimolando scambi culturali internazionali e promuovendo culturalmente e turisticamente il territorio.

Art.2 – PERIODO

Il Premio Internazionale Giovani Solisti (Archi – Fiati – Chitarra) e il Premio Internazionale di Musica da Camera si svolgeranno dal 16 al 18 maggio 2023.
Il Premio Internazionale Giovani Pianisti si svolgerà dal 19 al 21 maggio 2023.
La valutazione delle opere del Premio Internazionale Composizione sarà effettuata entro il 21 maggio 2023. Il Concorso è aperto ai musicisti di tutto il mondo.
Tutti i Concorsi si terranno presso il Teatro Curci in Corso V. Emanuele, 71 a Barletta.

Art. 3 – SEZIONI

Il Concorso si suddividerà in 4 Sezioni:
a) Premio Internazionale Giovani Pianisti
b) Premio Internazionale Giovani Solisti (Archi – Chitarra – Fiati)
c) Premio Internazionale Musica da Camera (Duo – dal Trio all’ Ensemble)
d) Premio Internazionale di Composizione 

Art. 4 – PREMIO INTERNAZIONALE GIOVANI PIANISTI

per i nati dall’anno 2015 in poi.

Art. 6- PREMIO INTERNAZIONALE DI MUSICA DA CAMERA

per i nati negli anni 1993 – 94 – 95 – 96 – 97 – 98.
Programma a scelta della durata massima di 20 min.

Categoria E
per i nati dal 1987 al 1992.
Programma della durata massima di 25 min. 

N.B.: Nelle Categorie della Sezione di Musica da Camera (duo ed ensemble) è ammessa la partecipazione di elementi di età superiore a quella indicata, purchè la media dell’età di tutti i componenti non sia superiore a tale limite.

Art. 7- PREMIO INTERNAZIONALE DI COMPOSIZIONE
aperto a concorrenti di ogni nazionalità, senza limiti di età.
Una composizione inedita della durata massima di 10 minuti.
Ogni candidato potrà partecipare con una o più partiture, per la stessa categoria o categorie diverse, in forma anonima.

Cat. A – Strumento solista ( con o senza elettronica)
Cat. B – Da 2 a 4 esecutori (con o senza elettronica)
Cat. C – Orchestra d’Archi (senza elettronica)

Per le categorie A e B l’organico strumentale a disposizione è il seguente:
1 Chitarra
1 Flauto o Ottavino (1 esecutore)
1 Oboe
1 Pianoforte
1 Tastiera, Keyboard Sampler o Midi Keyboard
2 Violini
1 Viola
1 Violoncello
1 Contrabbasso

L’eventuale elettronica potrà essere su supporto o live e dovrà essere stereo.

I compositori dovranno inviare via mail a concorsobarletta@culturaemusica.it :

– Un primo file PDF contenente la partitura anonima e contrassegnata da un motto;
– Un secondo file PDF contenente il modulo di iscrizione compilato e firmato e la ricevuta di pagamento della tassa di partecipazione;
– Nel corpo della mail potrà essere indicato un eventuale link a una simulazione o registrazione in formato MP3 del pezzo inviato (il link dovrà rimanere attivo fino alla data di svolgimento del concorso). L’invio della registrazione o simulazione è consigliato per i pezzi senza elettronica, obbligatorio per quelli con elettronica.

Art. 8 – NORME COMUNI

I Concorrenti possono iscriversi a una Categoria superiore alla loro età e partecipare a più Sezioni del Concorso, ma non a più Categorie all’interno della stessa Sezione (eccetto che per la Composizione).
Il minutaggio massimo stabilito per ciascuna Categoria, mentre non obbliga i Concorrenti a raggiungerlo, dà facoltà alla Commissione di interrompere l’esecuzione qualora superi i limiti previsti.
E’ facoltà della Commissione far ripetere o interrompere le esecuzioni qualora lo ritenga opportuno.

Art.9 – AUDIZIONI

I Concorrenti saranno ammessi alle prove in ordine alfabetico. Il Calendario delle prove delle singole Categorie sarà reso noto in tempo utile. Tutte le prove saranno pubbliche. Le Audizioni, le Serate di Premiazione e il Concerto finale si terranno presso il Teatro Comunale Curci – Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 71 – Barletta, dove sarà altresì ubicata la Segreteria del Concorso per la registrazione e le informazioni.I Concorrenti sono tenuti a informarsi sul sito www.culturaemusica.it  ovvero presso la Segreteria dell’Associazione riguardo il giorno, l’ora e la Sede della propria Audizione. I ritardatari potranno essere ammessi solo a insindacabile giudizio della Giuria, prima della chiusura del Verbale relativo alla loro Categoria. Prima della propria Audizione, i Concorrenti dovranno consegnare alla Giuria un Documento d’identità e copia dei Brani da eseguire.

N.B.: Il presente Calendario potrebbe essere modificato in relazione al numero delle iscrizioni.

Art.11- COMMISSIONE
La Commissione Giudicatrice sarà composta da musicisti di provata esperienza. E’ membro di diritto il Presidente dell’Associazione e/o un suo Delegato. Per tutte le norme di incompatibilità si fa riferimento alla C.M. Min.Tur. e Spett. n.2 dell’11-8-89 art.16. I Commissari esprimono il proprio voto a scrutinio segreto in centesimi; la media sarà calcolata aritmeticamente escludendo il voto più alto e il più basso. E’ facoltà del Presidente di arrotondare i punteggi. 

Art.12-PUNTEGGI
Il vincitore assoluto per ciascuna Categoria è il Concorrente che ha riportato il punteggio più alto e non inferiore a 98/100. Primi classificati sono i Concorrenti che hanno riportato un punteggio non inferiore a 95/100; secondi classificati quelli con un punteggio non inferiore a 90/100; terzi quelli con un punteggio non inferiore a 85/100; meritori con un punteggio non inferiore a 80/100; idonei con un punteggio non inferiore a 60/100. A tutti i partecipanti che otterranno almeno 60/100 sarà rilasciato un Diploma digitale. I concorrenti non potranno vantare alcuna pretesa economica per le registrazioni audio e/o video inviate al  Concorso. Tali registrazioni resteranno di proprietà esclusiva dell’Associazione Curci per qualsiasi utilizzazione. Il Primo premio assoluto è indivisibile. Su tutti i Premi saranno effettuate le ritenute di legge. 

Art.13 – PREMI

Premio Internazionale Giovani Pianisti

- A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto delle Categorie Junior – A – B: 100 Euro e diploma.
- A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto delle Categorie C – D: 200 Euro e diploma.
- Al Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria E: 250 Euro e diploma.
- Al Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria F: 350 Euro e diploma.
- Al Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria G: 500 Euro e diploma.

Premio Internazionale Giovani Solisti  Archi – Chitarra – Fiati

- A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto delle Categorie Junior – A – B: 100 Euro e diploma.
- A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto delle Categorie C – D: 200 Euro e diploma.
- Al Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria E:  350 Euro e diploma.        

 Premio Internazionale di Musica da Camera Duo – Ensemble

- A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria A – B: 150 Euro e diploma.
– A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria C: 250 Euro e diploma.
- A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria D: 300 Euro e diploma.
- A ciascun Primo Premio Assoluto della Categoria E:  500 Euro e diploma.

Premio Internazionale di Composizione

- A ciascun primo premio Assoluto delle Categorie A-B-C
200 Euro, diploma ed esecuzione del Brano nelle Stagioni Musicali dell’Ass. Cultura e Musica G. Curci o dell’Orchestra ‘Soundiff’.

La Direzione artistica si riserva, per uno o più brani vincitori:
-  di registrare, pubblicare e distribuire digitalmente il brano a cura dell’Ass. Curci

 – Ai restanti classificati primi, secondi e terzi di ogni categoria di esecuzione e di composizione:
Diploma con classificazione e punteggio.

- Ai restanti classificati di ogni categoria di esecuzione:
Diploma di partecipazione.

- A ciascun insegnante con allievi primi classificati verrà rilasciata attestazione relativa

Art.14 –  PREMI SPECIALI ‘Direzione Artistica’

Premio ‘Scuole Nazionali’ di 100 Euro e Diploma
-alla migliore esecuzione di un brano di un compositore della stessa nazione del partecipante

Premio ‘Bach’ di 100 Euro e Diploma
-alla migliore esecuzione di un brano di J. S. Bach

Premio ‘Virtuosità’ di 100 Euro e Diploma
-alla migliore esecuzione di un brano o di uno studio virtuosistico

Premio ‘Sonata Classica’ di 100 Euro e Diploma
-alla migliore esecuzione di una Sonata classica

Premio ‘Musica Contemporanea’ di 100 Euro e Diploma
-alla migliore esecuzione di un brano scritto dal 1960 ad oggi

Premio ‘Musica Romantica’ di 100 Euro e Diploma
-alla migliore esecuzione di un brano del periodo romantico

 Art.15 – CONCERTI PREMIO 

Sono previsti 10 Concerti-Premio, che la Direzione Artistica si riserva di assegnare ai vincitori assoluti che si saranno distinti durante il Concorso corrispondendo il solo rimborso spese, offerti da varie Associazioni e Istituzioni.

Art.16 – ALTRI PREMI SPECIALI

Premio “Gabriella Cipriani” di 700 euro offerto dall’Associazione Musicale Gabriella Cipriani,
al miglior violinista del Concorso, per la realizzazione di due Concerti come solista con l’Orchestra Soundiff nella Stagione 2024 a Barletta e a Molfetta

Premi speciali ‘Marida Bonadies – Barletta Ricettiva’ offerti dall’Associazione Barletta Ricettiva
n. 4 Borse di Studio da 200 euro per i migliori Complessi da Camera e per i due migliori Pianisti del Concorso

Premio “Claudio Ceschini”   Al miglior sassofonista del Concorso: Diploma speciale

Premio “W. A. Mozart”         Al più giovane concorrente classificato fino al terzo posto: Diploma speciale

Premio “M. Clementi”          All’insegnante col maggior numero di allievi premiati: Diploma speciale

Art.17 – QUOTE DI ISCRIZIONE

1- Pianoforte – Archi – Chitarra – Fiati (cat. Junior – A – B) 40 Euro
2- Pianoforte – Archi – Chitarra – Fiati (cat. C – D) 50 Euro
3- Pianoforte (cat. E – F – G) Archi – Chitarra – Fiati (cat. E) 60 Euro
4- Duo – Ensemble (cat. A – B) 60 Euro
5- Duo – Ensemble (cat. C – D) 70 Euro
6- Duo – Ensemble (cat. E) 80 Euro
7- Composizione (cat. A-B-C) 60 Euro

Le Quote di Iscrizione per Duo e Ensemble si intendono complessive, qualsiasi sia il numero dei componenti i gruppi partecipanti.

I Solisti che intendono fruire del pianista accompagnatore del Concorso dovranno inviare una ulteriore quota di 30 euro (cat. Junior e A) o di 40 euro (cat.B) o di 50 euro (cat. C) o di 60 euro (cat. D-E) e copia dei brani da eseguire insieme alla domanda di iscrizione.

Art.18 – DOMANDA DI ISCRIZIONE

Le domande di iscrizione possono essere compilate su apposito modulo predisposto dall’Organizzazione o su copia di esso.
I partecipanti possono  utilizzare il modulo on-line presente sul sito (eccetto che  per la sezione di Composizione) o scaricarlo in formato pdf dal sito www.culturaemusica.it

L’iscrizione al Concorso implica l’accettazione integrale  e incondizionata delle Norme contenute nel presente Regolamento.
Per eventuali controversie è competente il Foro di Trani e valido il testo italiano.

The 33rd Young Musician International Competition ‘Città di Barletta’ will take place LIVE in Barletta (Italy)  at the wonderful Curci Theatre with the following Schedule.
The Young Soloist Prize (strings, winds and guitar) and the Chamber Music Prize will take place from May 16th to May 18th, 2023.
The Young Pianist Prize and the Composition Prize will take place from May 19th to May 21st, 2023.
During these years ‘Città di Barletta’ has become one of the most important competitions for young musicians and for the music schools all around the world. During the previous edition we had about 300 participants coming from 30 different Nations.

The 2023 edition will have 4 different sections:
– Young Pianist Prize (Piano Solo)
– Young Soloist Prize (Strings, Guitar and Winds)
– Chamber Music Prize (From Duo to Ensemble)
– Composition Prize for Solo, Duo, Ensemble and String Orchestra (with or without electronics)

The Competition will provide totally more than 10.000 Euros of cash prizes and 10 Prize-Concerts for the winners.

The deadline for sending the application form is May 2nd, 2023.

The Competition is open to the young musicians of all over the world and during the past years we discovered fantastic music talents.

For the 2023 Edition the Prizes for all the Sections have been increased with the establishment of the Special Prizes ‘Gabriella Cipriani’ for the Strings section and ‘Marida Bonadies-Barletta Ricettiva’ for the Chamber Music and Piano Sections in addition to the Special Prizes of the past Editions, and execution, registration, publication and diffusion on line of the winner compositions.

In addition, in order to encourage the participation of Young Artists, the registration fees for the various Sections have been reduced.

Rules 
1– ANNOUNCEMENT OF COMPETITION
The 33rd Young Musician International Competition “Città di Barletta” Live Edition is organized by the “Cultura e Musica – Giuseppe Curci” Music Association and sponsored by the Barletta Town Administration, the Apulia Region and the Italian Ministry of Culture – Music Department.
The purpose of the competition is to valorize the young musicians and to present their talent, artistry and inspiration, stimulating international cultural exchange and promoting the cultural and touristy resources of the country.
All the Competitions will take place in the Curci Theatre, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 71 – Barletta – Italy.

2– PERIOD
The Young Soloist International Prize and the Chamber Music International Prize will take place from 16th to 18th May 2023.
The Young Pianist International Prize will take place from 19th to 21st May, 2023.
The evaluation of the International Composition Prize will be done on 21st May 2023.
The Competitions are open to all the musicians of the world.

N.B.: In the Chamber Music Section it’s possible to participate even for the players who are older than the age limits, if the average of the age of all the players is not over the limits.

7- COMPOSITION INTERNATIONAL PRIZE
open to all composers of any nationality, without age limits.

-An unpublished composition not longer than 10 minutes.
Each participant can participate with one or more scores, for the same or different categories, in anonymous form.

Cat. A – Solo Instrument (with or without electronics)

Cat. B – From 2 to 4 performers (with or without electronics)

Cat. C – String Orchestra (without electronics)

For A and B category the available instrumentation is the following:

1 Flute or Piccolo (1 performer)

1 Keyboard, Keyboard Sampler or Midi Keyboard

1 Double Bass

The optional electronics can be tape or live electronics and must be stereo.

Participants will have to email to barlettacompetition@culturaemusica.it:

- A first PDF file containing the anonymous score identified only by a ‘motto';
- A second PDF file containing the filled and signed application form and the payment receipt of the entry fee;
- In the mail text it is possible to indicate a link to an MP3 file containing the simulation or recording of the composition (the link must remain active until the date of the competition).
MP3 simulation is recommended for compositions without electronics, mandatory for those with electronics.

8 – COMMON RULES
The candidates can enrol in an older Category and they can participate to more Sections in this Competition, but not to more Categories in the same Section (it is allowed only for the Composition Section).
The maximum duration established for each category does not require contestants to reach it, but the performance can’t exceed the limit.

9- AUDITIONS
The contestants will admit to the Auditions in alphabetical order. The Competition calendar will be notified as soon is possible.All the auditions will be public. The Audition, the prize-giving ceremony and the final concert will take place in the Curci Theatre at the following address : Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 71 – Barletta. In the same place will be active, during the Competition, the Competition Secretariat, where you can register your arriving in Barletta and ask information. The contestants must ask for the day, the time and the place of their own audition from the website w ww.culturaemusica.it or from Competition Secretary.If they will arrive on delay, they can play only if the Jury will be agree to listen them, in any case not later the end of their own Category. Before the Audition each contestant must show to the Jury an identity card and give a copy of the pieces he will play

10– COMPETITIONS SCHEDULE

11– JURIES
Musicians of considerable experience will make up the Juries, and the Association Curci President or a delegate. We apply the Ministerial Law n. 2 (August 11th 1989) about the incompatible rules for the Jury. The Jury will make a secret centesimal voting, with arithmetic mean, except highest and lowest scores. The President can round up or down the results.

12– SCORES, PRIZE-GIVING CONCERTS, RECORDINGS
The Absolute Winner for each Category is the competitor who gained the highest score, but not less than 98/100.First Prizes are the competitors who gained a score not lower than 95/100; Second Prizes not lower than 90/100: Thirds not lower than 85/100; Merit Diplomas not lower than 80/100; Participation Diplomas not lower than 60/100. The absolute winners must play gratis during the Final Concert; if they will not do that they will lose the Prizes. The competitors can’t make any economic claim for any audio and/or video recordings made during the Competition and the Final concert. These recordings will be exclusive property of the Curci Association for any utilization. Participants agree and authorise the Cultura e Musica G. Curci Association to publish their image, video captions, and recording for promotion and publicity without any fee request. During the Competition nobody can make video or tape recordings or make photos without Association Curci authorization. The First Absolute Prize is indivisible. Each prize will have the deduction at source. Teachers/accompanists may receive diplomas on request.

The Artistic Director will decide, for one or more winners compositions:
- to record and digitally publish and spread the Composition by Curci Association

-For all the other competitors who will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes in every Category:
Diploma with score.
-For all the other competitors who will gain a score not lower than 60/100 in every Category:
Diploma with score.
-To each teacher with 1st prize pupils: Diploma.

15– PRIZE CONCERTS

The Artistic Direction reserves the right to assign 10 Prize-Concerts to the first prize winners with distinction during the Competition, offered by several Music Associations and Institutions.
The winners of the Prize Concerts will receive a refund of expenses for these Concerts.

16- OTHER SPECIAL PRIZES

“Gabriella Cipriani” Prize offered by the Gabriella Cipriani Music Association,
700 euros to the best violinist of the Competition, for the realization of two Concerts as soloist with the  Soundiff Orchestra in the 2024 Season in Barletta and Molfetta

‘‘Marida Bonadies – Barletta Ricettiva” Prizes offered by the Barletta Ricettiva Association
4 Scholarships of 200 euros for the best Chamber Ensembles and for the two best Pianists of the Competition

“Claudio Ceschini” Prize
For the best Saxophonist of the Competition : Special Diploma.
“W. A. Mozart” Prize
For the youngest contestant who will win not less than a 3rd prize: Special Diploma.

The Entry Fees for Duo and Ensemble, are aggregate amounts; whatever is the number of the players of each group.
The Soloists who need the Competition Piano Accompanist, must add to the application fee an additional fee of 30 Euros (Junior and A cat) or of 40 Euros (B cat) or of 50 Euros (C cat) or of 60 Euros (D and E cat) and send a copy of the scores they will play with application form.

Sezioni

Il 33° Concorso Internazionale per Giovani Musicisti “Città di Barletta”
si svolgerà Live a Barletta nella splendida cornice del Teatro Comunale Curci con il seguente Calendario.
Il Premio Internazionale Giovani Solisti (archi, fiati e chitarra) e il Premio Internazionale Musica da Camera si svolgeranno dal 16 al 18 maggio 2023.
Il Premio Giovani Pianisti  e il Premio Internazionale di Composizione si svolgeranno dal 19 al 21 maggio 2023. 
Durante questi anni il Concorso è divenuto uno dei più importanti appuntamenti per le varie scuole musicali di tutto il mondo.
La passata Edizione ha visto la partecipazione di circa 300 partecipanti provenienti da ben 30 nazioni.

L’edizione 2023 avrà 4 Sezioni:
– Premio Internazionale Giovani Pianisti (pianoforte solo)
– Premio Internazionale Giovani Solisti (archi, chitarra e fiati)
– Premio Internazionale di Musica da Camera (duo, dal trio all’ensemble)
– Premio Internazionale di Composizione per solista, duo, ensemble e orchestra d’archi (con o senza elettronica)

The 33rd Young Musician International Competition ‘Città di Barletta’ will take place LIVE in Barletta (Italy)  at the wonderful Curci Theatre with the following Schedule.
The Young Soloist Prize (strings, winds and guitar) and the Chamber Music Prize will take place from May 16th to May 18th, 2023.
The Young Pianist Prize and the Composition Prize will take place from May 19th to May 21st, 2023.
During these years ‘Città di Barletta’ has become one of the most important competitions for young musicians and for the music schools all around the world. During the previous edition we had about 300 participants coming from 30 different Nations.

The 2023 edition will have 4 different sections:
