PianoTalents 2026 – XV International Piano Competition
We look forward to seeing you at XV edition of the International PianoTalents Competition, which will take place from 11 to 14 June 2026 in Milan, at the historic headquarters of G. Verdi Foundation Retirement Home.
The competition, organized by the PianoFriends Association, is open to young pianists of all nationalities, aged between between 5 and 21 years old, and is confirmed as one of the most significant events dedicated to young piano talents at an international level
Categories
Participants in PianoTalents 2026 – International Piano Competition are divided into the following categories:
Category A: 5 – 7 years
B category: 8 – 10 years
Category C: 11 – 13 years
Category D: 14 – 17 years
Category E: 18 – 21 years
You can sign up for one higher category than their age group, based on personal preparation. Registration for multiple categories is not permitted.
The winners of the First overall prizes from previous editions they cannot register for the same category they have already won, but only for a higher one
Structure of the Competition
PianoTalents 2026 – International Piano Competition is divided into three tests:
First Test – Online preselection
Participation via sending a video, to be attached at the same time as registration.
Second Test – In presence
It will take place at Hall of Honor of Casa Verdi (Milan).
They will access a maximum of 10 candidates for each category.
Final
Reserved for First overall prizes in each category, who will perform pieces chosen by the Jury from the program presented in the second round.
The Final will be held on June 14, 2026 in the Hall of Honor of Casa Verdi.
Special Awards and Concerts
The President of the Società dei Concerti Foundation and the President of the Cesar Franck International Competition in Brussels will choose, among the winners of the First Overall Prizes, a pianist to invite to perform in the respective ones concert seasons, offering an important opportunity to start a concert career

Rewards and Opportunities
They are expected scholarships for the winners of the Absolute First Prizes:
Category A: €300
Category B: €500
Category C: €700
Category D: €900
Category E: €1,100
During the Final on June 14th, the Absolute First Prizes will also be awarded Super Prize of €1,500
