Breve descrizione

L'Associazione culturale OPERiAMO, con la collaborazione della Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Ferrara, del Teatro Comunale De Micheli di Copparo l'Orchestra Città di Ferrara e del Circolo Musicale Varos Zamboni, indice il Settimo Concorso Lirico Internazionale ”Città di Ferrara” al fine di evidenziare i ruoli di protagonisti e comprimari per l'allestimento dell'opera lirica “L'ELISIR D'AMORE” di Gaetano Donizetti.
L'iniziativa ha come finalità di consentire a giovani talenti un importante debutto e la possibilità di partecipare a futuri allestimenti e concerti. L'opportunità di debutto avrà luogo nella stagione del Teatro “De Micheli” di Copparo (FE) il 21 febbraio 2020 e durante l'estate 2020 nella manifestazione “Lirica in Castello”, produzione del Teatro Comunale “C. Abbado” di Ferrara.

 


Regolamento

REGOLAMENTO DEL SETTIMO CONCORSO LIRICO
INTERNAZIONALE “CITTA' DI FERRARA”

Art. 1 – Il concorso è internazionale ed è aperto a tutti i cantanti nati dopo il 01 gennaio 1972. Si svolgerà a Copparo nei giorni 18, 19 e 20 novembre 2019 presso il Teatro Comunale “De Micheli” di Copparo (FE) – Piazza del Popolo 11/A. Sono esclusi dalla partecipazione i vincitori delle precedenti edizioni.

Art. 2 - I cantanti interessati dovranno inviare l'adesione a mezzo raccomandata o via e-mail, secondo copia della richiesta allegata, entro e non oltre domenica 17 novembre 2019 (farà fede il timbro postale o la data d'invio dell'email) al seguente indirizzo:

Art. 3 - I candidati qualora non allegassero alla domanda i documenti richiesti, non saranno ammessi alle prove.
Art. 4 – La quota d'iscrizione sarà rimborsata solo in caso di annullamento della manifestazione e non in altri casi.
Art. 5 – I candidati dovranno presentare 5 (cinque) brani a scelta, comprendenti anche le arie del titolo in concorso nel caso che il ruolo richiesto le contempli.
Il concorso si articolerà nelle seguenti fasi:
- Prima prova eliminatoria, nella quale verranno eseguite 2 (due) arie
su 5 (cinque) presentate a scelta del candidato.
Semifinale, in cui verranno eseguite 2 (due) arie a scelta della commissione tra le 5 (cinque) presentate dal candidato. Saranno ammessi direttamente alle semifinali i vincitori dei concorsi internazionali degli ultimi tre anni previa presentazione di documentazione attestante la dichiarazione.
Finale, in cui verranno eseguite 2 (due) arie, di cui 1 (una) scelta dal candidato ed 1 (una) dalla commissione.
Concerto dei Finalisti mercoledì 20 novembre alle ore 21,00 al Teatro Comunale “C. Abbado” di Ferrara - Sala Ridotto - , nel quale i vincitori eseguiranno arie e duetti tratti dall'opera in concorso ed altri brani concordati con la commissione.
Durante il concerto verrà assegnato un riconoscimento particolare al più giovane cantante meritevole intitolato al grande tenore copparese Daniele Barioni.
Qualora la commissione non individuasse personalità artistiche idonee a ricoprire alcuni tra i ruoli in concorso, sarà sua facoltà interpellare i vincitori delle edizioni precedenti.
Art. 6 – La commissione si propone di identificare inoltre personalità artistiche per gli allestimenti estivi delle iniziative sul territorio ferrarese nell'ambito della manifestazione LIRICA IN CASTELLO, per i CONCERTI del RIDOTTO del Teatro COMUNALE di Ferrara e del Teatro DE MICHELI di Copparo. In questi casi i cachet verranno rapportati al ruolo e al contesto.
L'ELISIR D'AMORE verrà portata in scena al Teatro Comunale DE MICHELI di Copparo il 21 febbraio 2020.
Il candidato dovrà dimostrare di essere in grado di sostenere artisticamente e vocalmente il ruolo per cui si presenta; a tal proposito sarà facoltà della commissione richiedere brani specifici dell'opera in concorso.
I brani scelti dal candidato dovranno essere eseguiti in lingua originale con relativi recitativi e cabalette. Qualora qualcuna delle arie non appartenesse al tradizionale repertorio lirico e si ritenesse di usufruire del pianista messo a disposizione dall'organizzazione, si chiede cortesemente di inviarne copia a mezzo posta o via mail agli indirizzi succitati il prima possibile affinché il Maestro al pianoforte possa prenderne visione per tempo.
Art. 7 – La commissione ha facoltà di ascoltare interamente il programma o eventualmente di interromperlo in qualsiasi momento.
Art.8 – Il pianista accompagnatore sarà messo a disposizione gratuitamente dall'organizzazione. E' possibile per i candidati di avvalersi a proprie spese di un pianista di fiducia.
Art. 9 - La segreteria del concorso comunicherà tempestivamente ad ogni candidato la data e la fascia oraria di convocazione. La prima prova avrà inizio alle ore 10 di lunedì 18 novembre 2019. I candidati verranno esaminati a gruppi di cinque. Saranno ammessi direttamente alle semifinali i candidati finalisti e i vincitori di CONCORSI INTERNAZIONALI previa regolare documentazione. Qualora vi fossero particolari gravi ritardi o impedimenti, si raccomanda di avvisare tempestivamente a mezzo telefonico – 333 8893106 – . La commissione inserirà il candidato in coda all'elenco.
Art. 10 – Sono esclusi tutti i diritti per i partecipanti sulle eventuali riprese audio – video del concorso; sono vietate ulteriori riprese non autorizzate dalla direzione.
Art. 11 – Le spese di trasporti, vitto e alloggio durante i giorni del concorso sono a carico dei candidati.
Art. 12 – PREMI:
Ai selezionati che, a discrezione della giuria, parteciperanno a titolo gratuito all'allestimento dell'opera “L'ELISIR D'AMORE” di Gaetano Donizetti verranno coperte le spese di alloggio durante l'allestimento.

Le Autorità invitate saranno presenti compatibilmente agli impegni istituzionali e verranno presentate giornalmente.
Eventuali defezioni dei giurati autorizzeranno gli organizzatori a nominare loro adeguati sostituti.
Il giudizio della commissione è inappellabile.
Durante le selezioni saranno presenti inoltre direttori artistici di altri teatri e professionisti del settore.
Art. 14 – L'iscrizione al concorso comporta l'accettazione incondizionata del presente regolamento in tutte le sue parti. I criteri di valutazione verranno esposti in sede di audizione. Tutti i dati personali dei candidati saranno tutelati secondo le disposizioni previste a norma di legge (legge 675 del 31/12/1996). Ai sensi del D.Lgs n° 196 (30/06/2003) “Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali”, l'organizzazione informa che i dati forniti saranno dalla stessa conservati e utilizzati in modo esclusivo al fine di inviare informazioni relative alle attività dell'ente organizzatore e che, ai sensi del citato D. Lgs il titolare dei dati ha diritto di conoscere, aggiornare, cancellare e rettificare i suoi dati od opporsi al loro utilizzo.

Art. 15 – Per ogni controversia non risolta dall'organizzazione del Concorso, sarà competente il Foro di Ferrara.

The Associazione Culturale “OPERiAMO” of Ferrara, in collaboration with the Fondazione Teatro Comunale “C. Abbado” of Ferrara, the Theater “De Micheli” of Copparo, the “Città di Ferrara” Orchestra and the Club “V. Zamboni” is holding the Seventh International Opera Competition “Città di Ferrara”, with the aim of awarding the first and supporting roles for the operatic productions of Gaetano Donizetti's “L'Elisir d'amore”.
The initiative aims to give young talents an important debut and the opportunity to participate in future exhibitions and concerts. The opportunity to debut will take place in the theatre "DE MICHELI" of Copparo (FE) on 21 February 2020 and during the summer in the event “Lirica in Castello”, production of Teatro Comunale "C. Abbado" in Ferrara.

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE SEVENTH EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL OPERA COMPETITION, “CITTA' DI FERRARA”

Art. 1 – The competition is international and is open to all singers born after the 01st of january 1972. It will take place in Copparo (FE) on the 18th, 19th and 20th of november 2019 at the Teatro “De Micheli” -Piazza del Popolo 11/A. Winners of the previous competitions will not be eligible to compete.

Art. 2 – As per the sample application form here provided, the singers interested in competing must send their application form by certified mail, by and no later than sunday 17 november 2019 (as attested by the postmark date), to the following address:

Art. 3 – Those candidates who do not submit all documents requested together with their
application will not be eligible to compete.

Art. 4 – The application fee will be reimbursed only if the event is cancelled.

Art. 5 – Applicants should submit a choice of 5 (five) arias, including the title airs in competition if the required role requires.
The competition is structured as follows:

- The first preliminary round in which the candidate will perform 2 (two) arias which he/she will have selected out of the 5 (five) presented.
- The Semi-finals in which the candidate will be asked to perform 2 (two) arias, as chosen by the panel of judges, out of the 5 (five) presented.
- The Finals in which the candidate will perform 2 (two) of the 5 (five) arias presented, one of his/her own choice and one as chosen by the panel of judges.
The candidates must demonstrate to be able to carry out the role he/she is competing for, both artistically as well as vocally; for this purpose, the panel of judges will have the right to ask to hear specific arias from the opera in question.
The arias from opera chosen by the candidate must be performed in the original language along with relative recitatives and cabalette. If the candidate chooses to present an aria which is not part of the traditional opera repertoire and wishes to be accompanied by the pianist provided by the competition organizers, he/she is kindly requested to send a copy of the music by mail or e-mail to the addresses indicated above.

Concert by the Finalists on Wednesday 20 November at Teatro Comunale “C. Abbado” of Ferrara – Sala “Ridotto”, in which the winners will perform arias and duets from the operas to be produced, i.e. “L'Elisir d'amore” by G. Donizetti, as well as other arias chosen by the panel of judges.
During the concert a special recognition award dedicated to the famous tenor from Copparo, Daniele Barioni, will be presented to the youngest gifted artist.
- If the panel of judges should not find artists among the candidates appropriate for the
roles in question, they will call upon winners from the previous editions.

Art. 6 – As regards the operas, object of the competition, “L'Elisir d'amore” to be performed the 21st february 2020 at the Teatro “De Micheli” of Copparo , the candidates selected by the panel of judges to participate in the production of the operas will do so without financial remuneration as such. They will receive, however, a small reimbursement for their lodging during preparation of the production.

Art. 7 – The panel of judges may choose to listen to the entire aria or may choose to interrupt before the end.

Art. 8 – The pianist to accompany the singers will be provided free of charge by the organization. The singers can, however, choose to be accompanied by a pianist of their choice at their own expense.

Art. 9 – The competition secretariat will communicate promptly to any candidate the date and the time slot of convocation. The preliminary rounds will begin at 10 a.m. on tuesday, 18th November 2019. at the TEATRO “DE MICHELI” of Copparo, piazza del Popolo 11/A

Art. 10 – The participants will be able to claim no rights regarding audio or video recording done on behalf of the organization during the events; any unauthorized audio or video recording done on behalf of the participants is prohibited.

Art. 11 – Expenses incurred for transport, board and lodging during the days of the competition will be the participant’s responsibility.

Art. 12 -PRIZES
The winners, at the discretion of the jury, will participate without remuneration of the opera “L'Elisir d'amore" by Gaetano Donizetti - february 21st 2020 - at the Teatro "De Micheli" of Copparo we'll cover the accommodation costs during the production. The panel of judges also aims to identify artists for the productions organized by the Teatro Comunale "C. Abbado" in Ferrara in the Festival "Lirica in Castello". In that case the cachet will be compared to the role and context.

The local government representatives invited will be present in accord with their institutional obligations and will be presented each day.
Should a judge withdraw from the event, the organizers are authorized to nominate an appropriate replacement.
Decisions made by the judges’ panel are final.
During the preliminary rounds artistic directors from other theatres, as well as other professional personalities in the field, will be present.

Art. 14 – Enrolment in the competition implies total acceptance of all of the rules and regulations herein laid out.
The personal data of the candidates will be safeguarded according to the law (EU Regulation no. 679 of 2016 - "Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali", the Organization informs that the data provided by the enrolment board shall be stored and used exclusively for the purpose of sending information about the activities of the Organization and, pursuant to the above mentioned Decree, the data subject has the right to know, update, delete and rectify your data or oppose its use.
