A EUROPEAN COLLAGE - INTERNATIONAL FLUTE ORCHESTRA
The International Flute Orchestra is composed of approximately 40 professional flutists. Instrumentation includes three Contrabass Flutes, three Bass Flutes, six Alto Flutes, twelve C-Flutes and Piccolo. The musicians are professional college educators or orchestra musicians who enjoy sharing their musical knowledge and love of the flute. The orchestra was founded by Nancy Clew and is conducted by John Bailey.
Since 1996, the orchestra has performed in Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, England, Spain, East Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, China, Russia, Latvia, Estonia, Greece, Chile, Poland, Belgium, Holland, Turkey, Croatia and Japan.
